2025 review
Keeping the tradition alive, I’m concluding 2025 with a recap to review my personal highlights and set the tone for 2026.
The Physical Front
From a sports perspective, this year was defined by consistency and endurance. I was active for a total of 350 days (+12% versus last year), driven largely by a routine of running almost every morning.
- Running: I hit the road 318 days (+16% YoY), clocking in 2,233km (+2% YoY). My proudest moment was hitting a PR at the Lausanne Half Marathon: 87 minutes at a 4:09/km pace.
- Cycling: I spent much more time in the saddle this year, riding 1,841km—a massive 181% increase over last year. Highlights included cycling the full loop of Lake Geneva (160km) and completing my longest ride ever: 243km in 10 hours from Zurich to Lausanne.
Personal Milestones
Beyond the metrics, 2025 brought my biggest life highlight: I got married. We celebrated with 80 guests in Angra dos Reis. It was an incredible opportunity to bring everyone together and show my friends the beauty of Brazil. The year was punctuated by travel, ending on a high note with a celebration in Nice.
Input and Output
My reading rhythm slowed slightly this year, but I still enjoyed 11 books. Two stood out above the rest:
- "Algorithms to Live By"
- "Brasilien by Stefan Zweig"
On the output side, I maintained my writing habit, publishing 12 blog posts throughout the year.
Career & Vibe Coding
Professionally, I continued my engagement with Google and collaborated with my university on a seminar regarding Vibe Coding Digital Business Models. I also managed to "vibe code" two new side projects into existence alongside my daily work:
- logvariables.com: A mobile-first productivity tool designed for tracking and analyzing personal data.
- ExpensU: An iOS app that leverages LLMs to automatically classify transactions and analyze your spending.
