Another Habit Tracker

I love habit tracking. It helps me materialize and visualize my self-development efforts. It makes growth tangible and forces me to think things through.

Over the years, I’ve built several trackers—one called Junto, where I experimented with social habits, streaks, and community-building features. But lately, I’ve grown increasingly frustrated with the platform. Some dependencies became outdated, and eventually, the frontend broke entirely. That hit hard. It felt like all the work I’d put in was lost. Yet I knew the system still had potential—if I just invested a bit of time, I could salvage it.

The problem: I never found the time or motivation for the maintenance work needed to fix bugs or ship new features. And the longer I waited, the more alien the tech stack became.

Last weekend, I had a few hours to spare and decided to tinker with Replit. I’m blown away. I got a working app up and running in no time—something I can use daily again. I’m absolutely in love with it. Even better, I finally built some features I had always wanted to add to the old project.

TL;DR: habits.johannesklumpe.com is live and I’m using it every day. Replit rocks.
